Salil Kapoor, the former president of Atlas Cycles, was found dead at his residence in Lutyens' Delhi on Tuesday. Police suspect suicide, citing financial burdens and alleged harassment by four individuals as potential causes.

Kapoor was discovered with a bullet wound in his head, close to the puja room in his house on Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Road. His manager found him around 1 pm, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. A purported suicide note at the scene mentioned his financial struggles and harassment.

Kapoor's death marks a tragic continuation of family woes; his sister-in-law Natasha Kapoor also died by suicide in the same house in January 2020. Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing had previously arrested Kapoor in 2015 over financial fraud allegations amounting to Rs 9 crore. The investigation continues with forensic teams examining the site.
