Social gaming and interactive entertainment platform WinZO has launched its flagship talent mentorship programme, Battle of Super Scholars, in collaboration with the Indian School of Business in Chandigarh.
This initiative seeks to mentor India's brightest minds, empowering them to drive the nation's leadership in tech innovation and boosting export-led growth in the gaming sector, WinZO announced on Tuesday.
The global online gaming market has surpassed USD 300 billion with over 3.3 billion users. India accounts for 20% of this user base with approximately 600 million users but remains underrepresented in market share. This gap presents a potential USD 60 billion opportunity by 2034.
WinZO aims to inspire young talent to pursue entrepreneurship in gaming through the Battle of Super Scholars programme, potentially creating over 2 million jobs and expanding India's market size to USD 60 billion.
The platform, available in 14 languages including English, Hindi, and Bengali, has over 200 million registered users and collaborates with over 100 game developers to publish games for international markets, recently expanding to Brazil.
