The temple town of Ayodhya, known for the recent historic 'pran pratistha' of Lord Ram, is all set to host the four-day Deepotsav celebrations beginning October 28, marking the first such event post-consecration.

The UP government announced that the Deepotsav would run from October 28 to October 31, featuring a grand showcase of devotion and festivity. Over 25 lakh diyas will light up ghats like Ram Ki Paidi and Naya Ghat.

This year, the celebrations will include modern lighting and artistic installations, with dynamic LED panels and multimedia projections adorning key locations. Additionally, themed welcome gates, floral decorations, and illuminated pathways will enhance the city's aesthetic appeal.

Significant routes such as the Gonda Bridge and Basti Bridge will be lit up, offering a spectacular view. Ayodhya Dham, along with major temples, will be decorated with artistic lighting, with over 500 sites displaying striking signage boards and 20 artistic installations.

Cultural programs will be staged daily, featuring performances by over 100 artists depicting episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram. Highlights also include a laser show and an environmentally friendly firecracker display.

A virtual reality platform will provide immersive experiences of sacred sites, such as Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The new Ram Lalla idol consecrated earlier this year marked a historic moment, underscored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a strong and divine India.
