Oasis Reunion Tour Tickets Sell Out Amidst Technical Glitches
Tickets for Oasis' 2025 reunion tour sold out quickly despite technical issues and long wait times. Fans faced difficulties accessing websites, leading to frustration. Oasis, reuniting after 16 years, will perform 17 shows in the UK and Ireland. The tour is anticipated to boost the hospitality sector significantly.
Tickets for Oasis' 2025 reunion tour sold out by Saturday evening, though fans eager to see the band play live for the first time in 16 years faced technical issues and lengthy online waits. Frustrated fans reported error messages and being kicked off three ticket-selling websites: Ticketmaster, See Tickets, and Gigsandtours.
More than a million tickets were anticipated to sell out within minutes, but the band announced all tickets in Britain had been sold 10 hours later after many fans endured day-long online queues. British TV presenter Dan Walker took to X to criticize the process, calling for a fairer and more efficient ticket-selling method. Ticketmaster maintained that its website had not crashed and queues were progressing.
Meanwhile, tickets were found relisted on resale sites for up to £8,000 ($10,500). Oasis' 17-show tour will kick off in Cardiff in July 2025 and proceed to Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Originating in 1991, the band split in 2009 due to the strained relationship between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. The reunion is set to provide a significant economic boost to the UK and Ireland's hospitality sectors.
