Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has urged the Telangana government to publish the findings of a sub-committee on sexual harassment issues within the Telugu film industry. She praised the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) in Kerala for their groundbreaking efforts that spurred the establishment of The Voice of Women in TFI in 2019.

Samantha expressed her support for the Hema Committee report, which has been instrumental in addressing the challenges faced by women in the industry. "We, the women of the Telugu film industry, welcome the Hema Committee report and applaud the WCC in Kerala for paving the way," she stated on Instagram.

Official sources indicated that the state government had formed a committee in 2019, composed of officials from various departments, police, and industry representatives, to investigate the harassment issues. The committee's sub-committee has submitted its report, but its findings await publication.
