Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar has stressed that sustainable development is crucial to counter climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion. Speaking on Saturday at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), Dhankhar highlighted the necessity for collaborative solutions to address these pressing issues threatening human existence.

He took aim at former authority figures who promoted partisan interests and anti-national narratives, urging citizens, especially the youth, to reject and expose such ideologies. Dhankhar questioned the credibility of comparisons made between India and its neighboring country, Bangladesh, calling for faith in India's democracy.

During his visit, Dhankhar, accompanied by his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, was received by notable officials from Uttarakhand. They also participated in a sapling planting ceremony in memory of their mothers at the CSIR-IIP campus.
