CPI leader Annie Raja on Thursday called for the resignation of CPI(M) MLA and actor M Mukesh following the registration of a rape case against him.
Raja emphasized that Mukesh no longer has the legal or moral standing to continue as a legislator. She pointed to allegations stemming from the Justice Hema Committee report.
State ministers have stated that they will wait for the investigation's outcome before taking any action against Mukesh. The actor faces an FIR under IPC Section 376.
