During his opening statements, Jaishankar highlighted the importance of Chile's involvement in the Voice of Global South Summit and praised their president's insightful remarks at the August event. He expressed gratitude for Chile's support of India's permanent membership in an Expanded Security Council.
The meeting covered various sectors such as trade, investment, defense, and critical minerals, reflecting the countries' commitment to deepening their partnership. Jaishankar shared the progress on the microblogging platform X, noting that the ongoing 75th anniversary of India-Chile relations promises further growth in mutual cooperation.
