On the eve of Janmashtami, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made a significant announcement regarding the state's cultural initiatives. The government plans to open centres in urban areas dedicated to discussing and debating various aspects of Lord Krishna's life.

During a symposium, Yadav revealed that one village in every development block would be transformed, drawing inspiration from the mythological splendour of Gokul and Barsana. These centres will be funded by the state and will serve as hubs for exchanging authentic knowledge on mythological subjects.

Yadav celebrated Janmashtami with around 5,000 children dressed as Radha and Krishna in Indore, emphasizing the importance of family values, good governance, and community living. The celebrations included traditional activities like showering rose petals and feeding butter to children, bringing the mythological tales to life.
