Actor Dia Mirza recently opened up about her experiences on the sets of Anubhav Sinha's upcoming Netflix drama, 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.' Mirza made it a point to be present during the scenes featuring veterans Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah, eager to observe her favorite actors in action.

The narrative of the show revolves around the notorious hijacking of an Indian Airlines Airbus on December 24, 1999. With 188 passengers onboard, it was the longest aviation hijacking in India's history. Mirza's role as news editor Shalini Chandra explores the challenges faced by women journalists during this period.

Mirza, who was a participant in the Miss India pageant at the time of the hijacking, shared her memories and emphasized the strength and resilience of women in media roles back then. 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' features an ensemble cast and will begin streaming from August 29.
