U.S. singer Taylor Swift expressed her horror on Tuesday regarding the stabbing deaths of two children and the critical wounding of six others at a dance event in northern England. The attack took place at a 'Taylor Swift yoga and dance workshop' in Southport, aimed at children aged six to 11.

A 17-year-old male has been detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following the incident. In addition to the child victims, two adults were critically injured, reportedly while trying to protect the children. Witnesses likened the scene to a horror film.

'The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I'm just completely in shock,' Swift wrote on Instagram. Fans have raised more than 40,000 pounds to support the victims' families and the hospital treating the wounded children.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack as 'horrendous,' and King Charles and his family also expressed their shock. Merseyside Police are still investigating and say they are not looking for additional suspects.
