Timothée Chalamet Joins Forces with Josh Safdie for 'Marty Supreme' Film

Timothée Chalamet is set to star in and produce 'Marty Supreme,' directed by Josh Safdie, in collaboration with A24 Movie. Chalamet will portray ping pong player Marty Reisman. The script is co-written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein.

Actor Timothée Chalamet will team up with director Josh Safdie in an upcoming film titled 'Marty Supreme,' produced by A24 Movie.

As per Variety, the 28-year-old actor will not only lead but also co-produce the project, playing the role of ping pong player Marty Reisman. The screenplay is penned by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein, who are also producing the film alongside Eli Bush and Anthony Katagas.

A24 confirmed the collaboration on their official 'X' handle, featuring a poster captioned, 'Marty Supreme, MADE IN AMERICA,' and added, 'Josh Safdie's MARTY SUPREME starring @RealChalamet. Coming soon.'

Marty Reisman, an acclaimed American table tennis champion and author, was known for his 1958 and 1960 U.S. Men's singles titles, as well as being the 1997 U.S. hardbat champion. Reisman passed away in December 2012.

This project marks a reunion for Safdie and A24, who previously worked together on 'Uncut Gems' and 'Good Time.' Chalamet is known for his roles in 'Wonka,' 'Dune,' and 'Call Me by Your Name.'
