Bangladesh Delegation Discusses Museum Expansion at Visva-Bharati

A delegation from the Bangladesh government met with Visva-Bharati authorities to discuss the renovation and expansion of the Bangladesh Bhavan museum. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the current upkeep and maintenance of the exhibits and handed over a sculpture of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the university.

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh's Sheikh Hasina on May 25, 2018, the museum is a symbol of cultural collaboration.

The delegation, led by Deputy Secretary Md Saiful Islam and representatives from the Bangladesh National Museum, met with Visva-Bharati's Officiating Vice-Chancellor Aurobindo Mondal and Bangladesh Bhavan Chief Coordinator Manabendra Mukhopadhyay. They handed over a sculpture of 'Bangabandhu' Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and discussed preservation strategies.
