Kate, Britain's Princess of Wales

Kate, Britain's Princess of Wales, received a standing ovation at the Wimbledon tennis championships on Sunday. This marked her second public appearance this year while she undergoes treatment for cancer.

Tennis enthusiast Kate, who is also the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, wore a bright purple dress as she entered the venue accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte. They were there to witness the men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Upon taking her seat in Centre Court's royal box, a smiling Kate waved to the spectators, some of whom held Union Jack flags, celebrating her arrival.

Following the match, Kate presented the trophy to Alcaraz, who triumphed over Djokovic in three sets. The 42-year-old Princess, married to Prince William, had undergone major abdominal surgery in January that led to her cancer diagnosis and has since been undergoing preventive chemotherapy.
