The show, also known as Élite, has been a big hit and now fans can mark their calendars for the premiere on Friday, October 20.
To build up anticipation, Netflix released a captivating teaser video of Élite. The video features the cast members freefalling from the sky and then engaging in passionate moments with each other when they reach the ground. This teaser also offers a glimpse into a scene from the upcoming season, where Isadora touches hands with Dídac and ponders, "Do you feel we're actually living or just existing?"
Season 7 will bring back the original series star Omar Ayuso, who portrayed the character Omar in the first five seasons. Viewers can also expect to see more of Nico's love interest Sonia, played by Nadia Al Saidi, who appeared in the previous season. Joining the cast are new additions Mirela Balic, Fernando Líndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Iván Mendes, Alejandro Albarracín, and Maribel Verdú. Additionally, the trilingual singer Anitta will make an appearance. The show's Instagram account had previously revealed that Leo Sbaraglia will portray Isadora's father.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Elite revolves around the lives of students at a prestigious school in Madrid called Las Encinas. It explores the dynamics between three working-class teenagers, who obtained scholarships to attend the school, and their wealthy classmates. Created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, the show delves into the lives of these students as they navigate their relationships, secrets, and personal struggles within the walls of the esteemed institution.
The official synopsis for Elite Season 7 reveals that following the death of Samuel, Las Encinas aims to move forward by concealing past disasters. However, the problems within the school's classrooms are deeply rooted. This season will address challenging issues such as racism, sexism, domestic abuse, and LGTBI phobia. If the system fails to address these concerns, it will be up to the students themselves to take action.
Here’s the official synopsis of Elite, one of the successful titles (Spanish: Élite; stylized as E L I T Ǝ)
"After Samuel's death, Las Encinas faces a new school year trying to have a facelift by covering up disasters of the past. However, the conflict in its classrooms is systemic: racism, sexism, domestic abuse or LGTBI-phobia are just a few of the difficult issues that will run through the hallways of the prestigious institution this season. If those who run the system do not actively take action to address these issues, it will have to be the students themselves who do so."
