Crunchyroll is gearing up to release Season 3 of the highly anticipated anime series, "The Devil Is a Part-Timer!" This anime is based on a popular Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku (written as 029). The series has won over the hearts of fans with its unique storyline and lovable characters.
"The Devil Is a Part-Timer!" follows the adventures of the Demon Lord Satan as he attempts to conquer the world of Ente Isla by annexing its four continents. Assisting him in his quest are his trusted demon generals: Alciel, Lucifer, Malacoda, and Adramelech. However, their plans are foiled when they are confronted by the hero Emilia and her companions. In the ensuing battle, Malacoda and Adramelech are killed, forcing Satan and Alciel to escape through a gate to modern-day Tokyo, Japan.
Upon arriving in Tokyo, Satan and Alciel find themselves stripped of their magical powers due to the absence of magic in the contemporary world. As a result, they are transformed into human-like forms to blend in. In order to survive in this new world, Satan takes up a part-time job at a fast food restaurant called MgRonald's, while Alciel becomes his loyal houseman.
As the story unfolds, Satan, now going by the name Sadao Maou, encounters a girl named Emi Yusa. To his surprise, Emi is actually the hero Emilia in disguise. This sets the stage for a series of comedic and dramatic events as the characters navigate the complexities of the human world, all while dealing with their own personal dilemmas. Throughout the series, more characters from Ente Isla make their appearance, adding to the excitement and humor.
The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 1 aired from April to June 2013 and consisted of 13 episodes. It was produced by White Fox and directed by Naoto Hosoda. Following the success of the first season, a second season was released in July to September 2022. This time, it was produced by 3Hz and directed by Daisuke Tsukushi.
