Selena Gomez recently announced on Twitter that she is leaving social media again, shortly after returning to Instagram in January.
The owner of Rare Beauty, recently made an announcement on Twitter by sharing a video. In a video posted on Twitter, Selena shared, “I'm very happy. I'm so blessed. I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn't be happier. I'm good. I love who I am. I don't care. I'm big. I'm not. I don't care. I love who I am.” She continued, "And yeah, I'm gonna be taking a second from social media, 'cause this is a little silly."
"And I'm 30, I'm too old for this," she added. "But I love you guys so much. And I will see you guys sooner than later. I'm gonna just take a break from everything."
Lately, there has been more than one instance when Selena Gomez has made headlines because of social media.
A video of Hailey Bieber pretending to gag at the mention of Taylor Swift on Drop The Mic, a rap battle show she used to co-host with Method Man, went viral on social media. Selena Gomez defended her best friend in the comments section, saying, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."
Selena also commented "I love you" on a video calling Hailey and Kylie Jenner "nepo babies" and accusing them of acting like "mean girls".
This all comes after fans accused Hailey and Kylie of mocking Selena's eyebrows on Instagram. However, Kylie denied these claims and wrote, "This is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly." Selena agreed with Kylie and wrote, "It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!"
