A first-grade student at a composite school in Rewati, Ballia district, faced an alleged assault by his teacher after stepping out to purchase ice cream, according to reports on Thursday. The Basic Education Officer quickly initiated an inquiry, highlighting the seriousness of the claims.
The incident is said to have unfolded on Wednesday when Karthik Sahani, a five-year-old student, temporarily exited the school premises. Basic Education Officer Manish Singh, in a statement to PTI, confirmed the launch of an investigation. He stated that the Block Education Officer has been tasked with urgently probing the matter and delivering a detailed report.
Karthik recounted the ordeal to reporters, pointing out injury marks on his back allegedly inflicted by his teacher, Rajnish Rai. Authorities have promised to take appropriate measures following the inquiry results, ensuring student safety and adherence to ethical teaching practices.
