In a significant tribute, Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) commemorated its 50th anniversary by announcing it would be renamed in honor of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who recently passed away at 92. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the celebrations on Wednesday.

Sukhu emphasized Manmohan Singh's influential policies that contributed significantly to both India and Himachal Pradesh, enhancing the state's development and recognition. In celebration, the chief minister also unveiled a coffee-table book published by HIPA.

Additionally, a training programme for special educators was inaugurated, aiming to provide 80 teachers with modern methodologies to assist children with special needs. This represents part of the Congress government's commitment to good governance through innovative, technology-based training initiatives.
