The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has decided to postpone the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) exams after meeting with aspirants' demands. Meanwhile, the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Preliminary Exam-2024 will now occur on a single day using the traditional format.
A committee will be formed to investigate the RO and ARO exams, ensuring transparency and fairness in the examination process. This move comes amidst concerns of paper leaks across the country. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's intervention influenced the decision to adjust exam dates, much to the satisfaction of numerous PCS candidates.
However, many aspirants continue to protest, demanding clarity and an official announcement by the Commission. Some, like Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav, have criticized the government's handling of examination schedules, hinting at political motivations behind the partial acceptance of candidates' demands.
