In Uttar Pradesh, student protests have intensified against the UPPSC's decision to conduct preliminary exams for the PCS, RO, and ARO over two days. The demonstrations, which entered their fourth day, witnessed a police intervention as officers detained alleged miscreants who infiltrated the peaceful student protests.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abhishek Bharti, stated that some individuals with criminal tendencies attempted to disrupt the student demonstrations. Officers have detained these individuals while ensuring that no legitimate protesting students faced detention. Efforts are in place to facilitate peaceful dialogue with student protestors at the designated protest site.
Despite assurances from the UPPSC regarding examination logistics, agitating students, led by figures such as Himanshu Kushwaha, continue to demand a single-day exam solution. The protestors, including Gyanendra Kumar, remain firm in their stance, staging candle marches and outspoken demonstrations until their demands are met.
