The Rajasthan College Education Commissionerate has issued a directive mandating 20 government colleges to paint their facades and entry halls orange under the Kayakalp scheme. The initiative aims to foster a positive educational environment, though it has sparked controversy.
The Kayakalp scheme, led by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, focuses on cleanliness and infection control in public healthcare institutions. Opposition leaders have criticized the facade initiative, labeling it an attempt to politicize educational institutions.
Vijendra Kumar Sharma, the Joint Director of College Education, emphasized that the facelift would benefit the learning environment. However, Congress leaders argue it's a diversion tactic by the BJP government, highlighting its failure to fulfill previous pledges.
