Teachers at Avadh University have downed tools, demanding salary regularization and the release of withheld wages, bringing teaching and Deepotsav preparations to a halt.
About 130 educators are calling for improvements sanctioned by the University Grants Commission, including promotions and better facilities.
Despite dialogue efforts from Ayodhya city magistrate and university officials, no resolution has been reached as educators stand firm on their demands.
