The Himachal Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is dedicated to fostering a bright future for differently-abled individuals. On Monday, CM Sukhu inaugurated a newly constructed facility in Dhalli, Shimla district, aimed at providing formal and vocational education to children with hearing and visual impairments.

This state-of-the-art institute, built with an investment of Rs. 8.28 crore, features 32 modern classrooms, residential rooms, and essential amenities, including a computer lab and vocational training rooms. It currently educates 140 students, offering free residential education from Classes 1 to 12, along with vocational training in areas like handicrafts, bakery, and computer skills.

The Chief Minister also announced financial allowances for the students' Diwali celebrations and highlighted plans for a 'Centre of Excellence' in Solan district. Additionally, he mentioned upcoming schemes addressing the welfare of differently-abled individuals and senior citizens, as well as the continued revenue growth in the state.
