In a continued clash between Delhi University and St Stephen's College, Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh has established a committee to mediate talks with the college's administration over alleged non-compliance with university regulations.
St Stephen's College recently sparked controversy by denying admission to 12 students under DU's new single girl child quota and disregarding the university's seating allocation formula, resulting in a legal confrontation followed by court-ordered admissions.
The Academic Council met Thursday to address these issues, approve strategic university plans, and discuss contentious academic revisions, amidst objections from faculty groups emphasizing governance concerns and academic freedom.
