State minister Jayanta Malla Baruah announced that the cabinet also approved salary payments for over 130 teachers in Karbi Anglong. Additionally, the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma validated past appointments made without prior state approval, subject to basic criteria verification by the Hills Area Department.

Moreover, the cabinet re-engaged 451 part-time faculty members in various engineering colleges and polytechnics against regular vacant posts, and sanctioned funds for three polytechnic institutions under construction. For the academic year 2024-25, it also approved Rs 148.55 crore for procuring bicycles for Class 9 students in secondary schools, aimed at reducing dropout rates.
