Education Minister Atishi on Thursday announced that the Delhi Government has launched the 'Business Blaster' programme for the 2024-25 academic session, with an allocation of Rs 40 crore as seed money.

Atishi, addressing a press conference, stated that the initiative is expected to attract around 2,45,000 students, providing them with the opportunity to turn innovative ideas into startups. The programme has garnered 40,000 startup ideas to date, including ventures in perfume, chocolate, eco-friendly products, and technology sectors.

The Minister highlighted the success of last year's programme, where students not only launched startups but also provided employment. This year, the programme aims to further promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among students, making them job creators rather than job seekers. Top 150 startups will be open for public investment, offering opportunities even to private school participants.
