In a strategic collaboration, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar and Excelsoft Technologies have inaugurated the 'Professor Dhananjaya Lab for Education Design and Creative Learning'. The initiative, named after renowned educationist MH Dhananjaya, aims to merge academic research with industry expertise to foster EdTech innovation.
The lab, spearheaded by IIT Ropar's CSE head Sudarshan Iyengar, will develop advanced AI models to enhance existing learning and assessment tools. This effort will focus on making these tools more robust and scalable, and will also enable exploratory research into new educational principles and technologies.
Officials from Excelsoft Technologies underline the strategic importance of this collaboration, highlighting its potential to elevate India's status in global EdTech innovation. Key contributors from Excelsoft and a committed team from IIT Ropar, including PhD scholars, MTech, BTech students, and staff, will lead the lab's groundbreaking projects.
