Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma lauded teachers as the backbone of nation-building at a state-level Teachers Honour Ceremony held at Birla Auditorium on Thursday. Sharma underscored that capable citizens are molded through teachers' efforts in instilling character and compassion.
Highlighting the Indian tradition of revering educators, Sharma pointed out the indispensable role of teachers in enhancing educational quality and fostering progressive societal values. Celebrating Teachers' Day, he commemorated former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and announced the introduction of the title 'Chancellor' for university Vice Chancellors to honor this tradition.
Sharma also shared the state government's commitment to improving educational infrastructure, including funding for schools and innovative programs like the Business Innovation Program. Education Minister Madan Dilawar praised the exemplary work of teachers and the department's achievements in various state-wide educational campaigns.
