In a groundbreaking move, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has prioritized sending educators abroad for advanced training, a departure from the conventional focus on ministers and officials. Education Minister Atishi underscored this initiative while awarding 118 teachers on Teachers' Day, terming it an 'education revolution.'
Atishi revealed that over 400 principals and teachers were trained at the University of Cambridge, 950 at the National Institute of Education in Singapore, and 1,700 at IIM-Ahmedabad. This comprehensive training program signifies the government's dedication to enhancing educational standards.
Reflecting on the importance of teachers, Atishi shared her personal experience and stressed the crucial role educators play in shaping future generations. The event also saw special awards given to outstanding teachers, highlighting the profession's revered status in society.
