The Rajasthan government is making significant amendments to the Chief Minister Anuprati Coaching Scheme to benefit a larger number of students, state minister Avinash Gehlot announced in the Rajasthan Assembly on Monday.

Responding to questions from BJP MLA Aadu Ram Meghwal during the Question Hour, Gehlot, the Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, explained that the scheme was initially launched by the previous Congress government in the financial year 2021-22. It aims to provide free preparation for competitive exams for professional courses and government job recruitments.

Gehlot emphasized that the current administration is focused on improving the scheme's implementation so that more students can benefit. He assured that there are no plans to discontinue the program. Initially set to benefit 10,000 students, the scheme expanded to 30,000 beneficiaries in subsequent years. Over 20,000 students have already benefited from it, he said. Selection is based on home districts, categories, and the type of exams students are taking, with online applications determining eligibility based on merit.
