In a recent Lok Sabha session, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced new government guidelines aimed at regulating coaching centers across the country. The announcement was made during a discussion about the tragic deaths of three IAS aspirants in Delhi due to flooding.
Congress MP KC Venugopal raised significant concerns, citing that the coaching center in question lacked an approved building, and highlighted the rising number of student suicides within top institutions, partially attributing them to caste discrimination.
Responding to various questions, Pradhan reassured that the government is dedicated to the socio-psychological and mental well-being of all students. He dismissed claims of a 'brain-drain' phenomenon and pointed to the successful careers of Indian-origin CEOs as evidence of the quality of education in India.
