This significant MoU was signed by PSDM Director Amrit Singh and Country Head Education Microsoft Corporation (India) Sanjay Dhingra, as confirmed by an official statement.

Punjab's Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister, Aman Arora, highlighted that this collaboration will pave the way for imparting crucial skills such as digital productivity, employability, English communication, entrepreneurship, and advanced technology skills including cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, and sustainability.

Underlining the commitment, Arora noted that the department is leaving no stone unturned to facilitate employment opportunities for Punjab's youth.

Adding depth to the collaboration, Singh emphasized that the future skills collaboration with Microsoft for 2024-25 includes multiple initiatives designed to address the unique needs of diverse learners. These initiatives aim to enhance skills and competencies in line with global needs, ensuring better employment prospects in an AI-enabled economy.

Singh reiterated that the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training is dedicated to meeting the manpower demands of the industry by supplying skilled youth from Punjab.
