According to the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affair, Richard Sezibera, the bilateral relationship between DR Congo and Rwanda is continuously developing. His comments surfaced following the visit of DR Congo’s Director of Cabinet, Vital Kamerhe to Rwanda.
“We see that our relations are good and continue getting better and better, be it in cooperation and curtailing those who wish to destabilise Rwanda’s security that are [based] in Congo,” Richard Sezibera recently said on the sidelines of annual retreat for the Rwandan Ambassadors.
While emphasizing the bilateral relationship between Rwanda and DR Congo, he said that Kigali sees trade activities between two nations smoothly going on and their respective leaders want it to be sustained. However, he didn’t reveal more about the cooperation between two countries.
Kigali and Kinshasa are collaborating on the implementation of a simplified clearance procedure under Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), known as the Simplified Trade Regime (STR).
