Tragic Uttarakhand Accidents Claim Seven Lives, Leave Six Injured
A series of tragic vehicle accidents in Uttarakhand resulted in seven fatalities and six injuries, involving separate incidents in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, and Almora districts. Victims included pilgrims and local residents, with vehicles falling into gorges under adverse conditions.

Seven individuals lost their lives and six others were injured in a tragic series of vehicle accidents in Uttarakhand, officials announced on Saturday. These incidents involved vehicles plunging into deep gorges in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, and Almora districts.
In Chamoli district, a family's vehicle fell into a 400-500 metre gorge near Lwani village on Rupkund road, resulting in three deaths and three injuries. The victims were returning home after retrieving a relative's body. Separately, a Maharashtran pilgrim couple died, and three others sustained injuries when their car lost control near Ganganani in Uttarkashi. Rescuers undertook nighttime operations under challenging conditions. Additionally, a tractor-trolley accident near Gadholi village on Bageshwar Road in Almora killed both occupants.
