In a significant boost to Maharashtra's industrial sector, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a Rs 42,886 crore investment by Jindal Stainless Ltd to establish a major stainless steel plant in the state. The meeting with Jindal Stainless chairman Ratan Jindal marked a commitment to creating 15,500 jobs.
The plant is expected to have a yearly capacity of 4 million tonnes, underscoring Maharashtra's growing appeal to major investors. Fadnavis expressed gratitude to Jindal for their confidence in the state's potential and assured full government support.
On another front, Fadnavis met with Pirojsha Godrej of Godrej Industries Group to explore opportunities for mutual growth in agriculture, urban development, and financial inclusion, aligning with the company's long-standing legacy in Maharashtra.
