In the wake of a harrowing militant attack, the Jaffar Express has resumed its journey, departing from Peshawar Cantt Railway Station towards Quetta amid heightened security. Federal Minister Amir Maqam was present to see off the passengers, emphasizing the government's unwavering commitment to national security.
The attack, orchestrated by Balochistan Liberation Army militants, resulted in the tragic deaths of 21 passengers and four soldiers. The train's return, adorned with flags and balloons, marks a significant step in overcoming adversity, with a scheduled arrival in Quetta after a 34-hour journey.
Amid the return of train services, Maqam criticized provincial leadership for their lack of participation in the initiative, pointing a finger at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's focus on political agendas. Despite challenges, the restoration signals progress towards Balochistan's development.
