In a direct critique of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Congress leader Y S Sharmila highlighted the substantial fuel taxes levied by the state government, causing petrol and diesel prices to surge dramatically compared to neighboring states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Sharmila accused both the ruling TDP and the opposition YSRCP of engaging in opportunistic politics without yielding any tangible development, asserting that these parties have consistently exploited citizens over the past decade, turning fuel taxes into political tools.
She called out Naidu's unfulfilled election promises regarding a reduction in fuel prices, pressing the CM to act on commitments made during the campaign, as Andhra Pradesh faces mounting public frustration over the substantial taxation.
