Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a virtual ceremony on Monday, inaugurated a series of pivotal railway projects, including the Jammu railway division and the Charlapalli terminal station in Telangana. He also laid the foundation for the Rayagada railway division in Odisha under the East Coast Railway zone.
Lauding India's rapid strides in connectivity, Modi emphasized that since the start of 2025, the metro network has expanded to over 1,000 kilometers. The recent inauguration of the Namo Bharat train in Delhi-NCR and the launch of Delhi Metro projects were also spotlighted.
Modi reiterated the success of the 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' mantra in fostering a developed India. He highlighted the railway's transformation through the 'Make in India' initiative, creating modern coaches, redeveloping stations, and setting up 'One Station, One Product' stalls, thereby generating numerous employment opportunities.
