A tragic accident unfolded near Hatisa Bridge in the Hathras Gate police station area on Wednesday when a truck overturned, claiming the lives of three motorcycle riders, including a mother-son duo, officials reported.
According to Superintendent of Police Chiranjiv Nath Sinha, the victims were Reshmi Devi, 65, and her son Vijaypal, 40, both from Khajuria village. They died instantly. The third victim, Ramveer Singh, 33, originally from Bairni village in Etah and residing in Railway Colony, Mathura, was also killed alongside his motorcycle under the toppled truck.
Sinha confirmed that emergency teams swiftly transported the bodies to Bagla district hospital. The accident occurred when the truck tried to avert a collision with another motorcycle. The Hathras Gate police station has registered a case, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
