Eicher Motors Sees Promising Growth in December Sales

Eicher Motors Ltd reported a 3.7% increase in sales by its unit VE Commercial Vehicles in December 2024, compared to December 2023. The company sold 8,324 units, with Eicher and Volvo brands contributing significantly to this growth. Domestic and export sales have also shown marked progress.

Eicher Motors Ltd announced on Wednesday that VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd, its subsidiary, experienced a 3.7% increase in total sales, reaching 8,324 units in December 2024. This marks an improvement over the 8,026 units sold in December 2023, according to the company's regulatory filing.

The joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, VE Commercial Vehicles, reported that December 2024's sales included 8,035 Eicher branded units and 289 Volvo branded units. This suggests a stable incline in the sales figures, reflecting strong performance in the market.

Particularly noteworthy was the domestic market, where sales of Eicher-branded trucks and buses rose by 1%, totaling 7,545 units. Meanwhile, exports saw a robust increase of 52.6% to 490 units, reinforcing the company's growth in the commercial vehicle sector.
