GRSE's Stellar Financial Performance Boosts Indian Defence Prospects

Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd, a prominent player in the defence sector based in Kolkata, has announced impressive financial results for the first half of the financial year 2024-25. The company recorded a total income of Rs 2,311 crore, a significant increase from Rs 1,796 crore in the previous fiscal period.
The profit after tax (PAT) also showcased notable growth, reaching Rs 185 crore by the end of the first six months of this fiscal year, compared to Rs 157 crore during the same period last year. For the second quarter alone, ending in September, GRSE reported an income of Rs 1,228 crore and a PAT of Rs 98 crore.
Commodore P R Hari (retd), Chairman and Managing Director, has attributed this success to ongoing orders from the Indian Navy, along with commercial and specialised research vessel projects. Hari expressed optimism for the company's future, citing a robust order book and strong growth trajectory.
