In a tragic incident early Tuesday morning, six students lost their lives in a car-truck collision near ONGC Chowk, police confirmed. The mishap occurred around 1:30 am when the vehicle hit the truck from behind, leaving the car in a mangled state.

Circle Officer (City) Neeraj Semwal revealed that the deceased include Kunal Kukreja, Atul Agrawal, Rishabh Jain, Navya Goel, Kamakshi, and Guneet, mostly from Dehradun. Among the victims, Kukreja was from Himachal Pradesh. Another passenger, Siddhesh Agrawal, was critically injured and is hospitalized.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, currently visiting Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag, expressed his condolences over the tragic loss. Police are investigating the cause, reviewing CCTV footage for more details.
