Delhi Traffic Crackdown: Over 39,000 Vehicles Prosecuted for Illegal Parking at Railway Stations

Delhi Traffic Police have intensified their crackdown on improper parking at the city's major railway stations, prosecuting over 39,000 vehicles as of October 22, official data reveals.
Old Delhi Railway Station topped the list with 14,949 challans, followed by New Delhi, Hazarat Nizamuddin, and Delhi Cantt stations. The Rs 500 penalty per violation has resulted in significant enforcement actions, including towing away over 1,460 vehicles.
To alleviate the congestion, the police have introduced measures like cement barricades on Chelmsford Road and proposed relocation of bus stands and pick-up points for taxis and auto-rickshaws.
