In a significant development in India's aviation sector, Vistara, the full-service carrier, concluded its operations after nearly a decade, with its final flight from Delhi to Singapore early Tuesday morning.

The airline, a collaboration between Tatas and Singapore Airlines, has merged with Air India, forming the largest international carrier and second-largest domestic carrier in the country. The inaugural flight under the new entity flew from Doha to Mumbai.

With Singapore Airlines holding a 25.1% stake in the merged entity, the expanded airline now operates over 5,500 weekly flights, covering 103 domestic and 71 international routes. This merger is part of the Tata Group's strategic consolidation of the Indian aviation market.
