A tragic incident near Karaiya Bhadoli railway station left a sub-inspector with a severed arm and a police vehicle driver injured. The officers were responding to a double fatality on the tracks, only to be struck by another train.
The accident happened about 260 km from Bhopal on Sunday evening. According to Superintendent of Police Shrut Kirti Somvanshi, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajendra Mishra, who heads the Bandakpur police post, was in the process of inspecting the scene where two men reportedly fell from a moving train and died.
Witnesses claim that Mishra warned his team of an approaching train but was blindsided by another on an adjacent track. The two injured officers were transported to a Government Medical College and later shifted to a private hospital. Surgeons decided against replantation of Mishra's arm due to infection risks.
