Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd, the bottling division of Coca-Cola in India, reported a threefold increase in net profit, reaching Rs 2,808.31 crore in FY24, as detailed in a filing to the Registrar of Companies.
The company's revenue from operations grew by 10.10% to Rs 14,021.54 crore during the fiscal year ending March 2024, according to data accessed from business intelligence platform Tofler. In the previous fiscal year, HCCBL had reported a net profit of Rs 812.5 crore with total income climbing to Rs 14,236.18 crore.
HCCBL, which operates 16 factories nationwide, saw its tax expenses soar over fourfold to Rs 910.07 crore in FY24. Despite rising costs and a significant increase in advertising expenses, the company has embarked on a strategic shift, including divesting bottling operations and adopting an asset-light approach by leveraging existing bottlers in key regions.
