The recent inauguration of the C-295 aircraft manufacturing complex in Vadodara, alongside Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, signifies a crucial step forward. Modi highlighted figures showcasing India's progress, with defence exports climbing from Rs 1,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 21,000 crore, and over 12,300 items indigenized in three years. Strategic infrastructure development and innovation initiatives like iDEX are fostering a robust defence ecosystem, reducing import dependency, creating jobs, and bolstering the nation's economy.
