In a startling turn of events, two separate incidents of goods train derailments took place in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, authorities confirmed. This double incident affected the Kaiserganj area of Meerut and Saharanpur railway station, resulting in a narrow escape with no injuries reported.

According to Railway Superintendent Ashutosh Shukla from Moradabad, the Meerut derailment happened during the shunting of the goods train at about 9 am, when two wheels came off the tracks. Meanwhile, a separate but similar event unfolded early Friday near Saharanpur station involving a train originating from Ferozepur, Punjab.

Divisional Railway Manager, Mandip Singh Bhatia, stated that the second train was approaching Saharanpur when it derailed. The cause is yet to be determined, though it is confirmed that the rail traffic remains unaffected, with all other trains running as scheduled. Safety investigations are underway to assess these incidents.
