Transportation services in Bhubaneswar resumed on Friday morning, following the disruption caused by Cyclone Dana. Flights have begun landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport since 9 am, marking the end of the operational suspension initiated on October 24. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi confirmed the resumption to reporters.

The East Coast Railway has also restarted train operations in its jurisdiction, with trains from Visakhapatnam, Howrah, and Kharagpur making their way to Bhubaneswar. The ECoR had preemptively cancelled 203 trains due to Dana's landfall but is now resuming services, barring the previously cancelled trains.

The cyclone weakened on Friday morning, completing its landfall process in about eight and a half hours, according to the IMD. Initial high-speed winds of 110 kmph subsided, allowing for the resumption of transport services in and around Odisha.
